![]() Put it on a table and you change the tone. Turn on the power and the volume setting on the ‘i’ device is lowered and the ‘Angry Bird’ takes over.Įven on a carpeted floor the bass is good and the two speakers clear and crisp. This unit works slightly differently from others in that if power is not on you can still hear your ‘i’ device through its internal speaker. A clock type battery controls the unit and is supplied. There is a small instruction booklet and a small remote 8.5x4x.5cm, this duplicates the actions of the buttons on the back of the unit. The controls are at the back of the pigs head, a line of five, volume up/down, Auxiliary in, DC in, power on/off and bass up/down. The left nostril is the infra red receiver for the thirteen button remote. The front has a pair of dummy eyes around the centre above this an LED glows when power is on from its right nostril. This is a 2.1 product, the sub woofer pointing down and the two speakers roughly 45degrees off centre either side of the forehead of the Pig. It is 13cm wide and 16cm deep with DC lead inserted, 15cm tall before your iPod or iPhone is inserted my iPod Touch adds 10cm. When does a toy or game become a serious product? Here we have a rather nice iPod dock with speaker but I suspect the initial sales potential will be round the ‘Angry Birds’ name and with pester power being what it is… Click image to enlarge Angry Birds Speaker Pig with iPod Dock
